USING VET FOR TAKEOFF
Before getting into this glider ensure the engine of the plane your in is stopped. Also assign a key for quick engine stop, I use (Control+shift+E), but this will be up to you.
Now for takeoff
Line yourself up on the runway. Use the start engine command (Control+E) to enable VET.
Put full throttle on your joystick or press F4. Now you will wait 15-20secs then the glider will start to roll. Rotate and climb. Dont let the speed drop below 40kts or the glider becomes unstable.
Once you reach your required height press the quick engine stop key that you assigned. This disables VET and you can then fly on happily.
In real life on a good day you would probably get about 1000-1200ft I think, though you can gain as much height as you like using the VET, its up to you.
I enjoy using this, its much more fun than slewing up.
